Vertically integrated CNC machining, vacuum or controlled atmosphere brazing, and heat pipe fluid processing

Our Columbia, MO headquarters features specialized, dedicated heat pipe and cold plate manufacturing equipment run by world-class technicians. We use precision, high-speed CNC mills to form micro-channels into base base materials for our oscillating heat pipes and cold plates. Next, we hermetically seal those micro-channel patterns with vacuum or controlled-atmosphere brazing ovens. Hardware then goes through final milling, plating or coating, and assembly into final form factors. Manufacturing is completed within our proprietary fluid processing and thermal testing stations. Our AS9100D certified quality management system utilizes in-process and final product inspections to ensure conformance to product specifications.

Production equipment

  • Ten dedicated, high-speed CNC machining centers that run two shifts per day

  • Three (soon six) heat pipe fluid distillation and charging stations

  • Four welding stations (Fiber laser, YAG laser, TIG, and MIG)

  • Two aluminum-vacuum brazing furnaces

  • One controlled-atmosphere brazing furnace

  • Two turbo-molecular pumped vacuum bakeout ovens 

  • 60-ton TRANE chiller for 40 to 125°F boundary controls

  • 60-ton hydraulic gantry press

  • One ultrasonic cleaning bath

  • One metallography station with stereo-microscope, wet saw, polisher, and potting rig
